Climate Science Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Science Expert to lead the climatology and atmospheric science foundation of our Marine & Aviation Intelligence platform.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Data Management
    • Curate and analyze climate datasets (ERA5, CMIP6, IMERG, HYCOM, CMEMS, buoy & radar archives).
    • Develop methodologies for Quantitative Precipitation Estimation (QPE) and Quantitative Current Estimation (QCE).
    • Guide assimilation of rainfall, currents, waves, and tide datasets into unified models.
  • Prediction and Validation
    • Collaborate on the design of AI-driven rainfall and ocean current forecasts.
    • Establish skill metrics and validation frameworks against gauges and station networks.
    • Support integration of aviation climatology (turbulence, wind shear, visibility indices).
  • Leadership and Mentorship
    • Mentor the AI/ML team on climatological best practices.
    • Advise on extreme events (monsoons, cyclones, storm surges, turbulence corridors).
    • Represent us in collaborations with IMD, INCOIS, IITM, ECMWF, and other climate centers.
  • Impact and Communication
    • Translate scientific outputs into actionable insights for Navy, Ports, Aviation, and Disaster Management.
    • Shape dashboards, tiles, and alerts to reflect climatological reliability.
