Transmission Engineer Role:

This is a senior engineering position focusing on transmission and distribution projects in the field of civil structural engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Civil Structural Engineering, preferably with a Master's degree, and 3 to 8 years of experience in similar projects.

Key Responsibilities include preparing plans, specifications, and design packages for transmission line projects. The role also involves producing technical presentations, design drawings, and performing detailed studies. Optioneering and outline design relating to Transmission, Distribution, and Industrial projects are additional key responsibilities.

  • Preparing plans, specifications, and design packages for transmission line projects
  • Producing technical presentations and design drawings
  • Performing detailed studies, preparing plans, transmission line modeling, and design tasks associated with utilities or other types of projects
  • Optioneering and outline design relating to Transmission, Distribution, and Industrial projects
  • Preparation of technical reports, drawings, sketches
  • Performing detailed design and engineering calculations of the overhead electric distribution systems
  • Guiding Engineering and CAD team for quality delivery
  • Performing self-check and QA/QC on projects before submittal to the client
  • Preparing cost estimates on engineering and construction packages
  • Developing a bill of material required for construction based on client standards
  • Developing permit drawings as necessary to accommodate construction

Proficiency in software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER is expected. Experience with structural software tools like STAAD PRO, SAP2000, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, FAD Tools, and LPile is highly desirable.
