Job Title: Android Development Expertise

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Android Developer to join our team of talented software professionals. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications for mobile and Android TV platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android application development, with a proven track record of delivering robust and efficient code. You will also have hands-on experience developing for Android (mobile) platforms, as well as experience with Android TV development or Android OTT applications.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be expected to work effectively within Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance, and user-friendly Android applications for both mobile and Android TV platforms.
  • Contribute to and enhance our Android OTT applications, ensuring seamless content delivery and an engaging viewing experience.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily using Java and Kotlin.
  • Integrate Android applications seamlessly with backend services using RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing interfaces, applying best practices in mobile UI design.
  • Utilize version control (Git) effectively for collaborative development, code management, and branching strategies.
  • Work effectively within Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews.
  • Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring application stability and performance.
Requirements:
  • 3 - 6 years of proven experience in Android development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android application development.
  • Hands-on experience developing for Android (mobile) platforms.
  • Experience with Android TV development or Android OTT applications is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding and experience with RESTful APIs for client-server communication.
  • Familiarity with best practices in mobile UI design and user experience.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git).
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
