Software Engineer Android

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer - Android to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge Android projects and contribute to the development of innovative mobile applications. As a Software Engineer - Android, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-quality Android applications using Java/Kotlin programming languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • UI Layers:
    • Familiarity with Fragments, Activities, Lifecycle component, different Android layouts, UI design principles, and patterns.
    • Understand the importance of responsive design and user experience.
  • Network and Image Layer:
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Retrofit, Glide with OKHTTP.
    • Ability to handle network requests efficiently and manage image loading.
  • Android Architecture Components:
    • Familiarity with MVVM, LiveData, Data Binding, Services (foreground and background), Jobs, Schedulers, Work Manager, etc.
    • Ability to apply architecture components to develop robust and scalable Android applications.
  • Android SDK and Device Management:
    • Familiarity with different Android versions and ability to handle various screen sizes.
    • Understanding of device management and ability to optimize application performance.
  • Cloud Messaging and Analytics:
    • Familiarity with cloud messaging, Firebase, push notifications, Analytics.
    • Ability to integrate cloud messaging and analytics services into Android applications.
  • Storage and Security:
    • Familiarity with local storage (SQLite, Realm), shared preferences, and file system.
    • Understanding of security concepts (key hashing and encryption) and code obfuscation (Proguard).
  • Testing and Code Quality:
    • Ability to write unit tests for Android applications.
    • Understanding of data structures and algorithms and ability to apply them in Android development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Android development.
  • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Android Studio and other development tools.
  • Good understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
