Job Title: Shop Floor Operations Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shop Floor Operations Specialist to drive continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. This is a freelance role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement process optimization in manufacturing workflows by analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals and objectives, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across departments.
  • Apply industry best practices in shopfloor operations, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies to ensure our operations remain efficient and effective.
  • Conduct training sessions for improved processes and tools, providing guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Monitor and report progress to stakeholders regularly, providing regular updates on key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing operations with hands-on exposure to production planning and shop floor processes.
  • MBA from a reputable institution (preferable).
  • Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a high level of autonomy and self-motivation.
