Data Architect Specialist

As a Data Architect Specialist, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing efficient data solutions.

The role involves building complex data pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures to manage and process large datasets. This requires a deep understanding of data modeling and the ability to optimize micro-partitioning for improved performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement ETL Pipelines: Build complex data pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures to ensure seamless data flow and efficient processing.
  • Data Modeling and Optimization: Design data models with clustering keys and optimize micro-partitioning to improve query performance and reduce costs.
  • Real-Time Ingestion and Data Lake Integration: Implement Snowpipe for real-time ingestion and external tables for data lake integration to enable fast and scalable data processing.
  • Complex Transformations: Develop JavaScript/SQL stored procedures and UDFs for complex transformations, such as window functions, CTEs, and pivots, to handle intricate data manipulation tasks.
  • Query Optimization and Cost Control: Write complex SQL queries and implement resource monitors for cost control to ensure optimal resource utilization and minimize expenses.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on Experience: Possess hands-on experience in Snowflake development, including strong knowledge of Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript stored procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Have working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots), warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with Tools: Familiarity with SnowSQL CLI and Snowflake web interface is essential for this role.

This position requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
