Visionary Trade Finance Leader Wanted

We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our Trade Finance team. As a Senior Vice President/Head, you will be responsible for leading the team to provide strategic and transaction-level advice to customers while ensuring operational delivery of world-class Trade Finance services.

About the Role:

• You will manage Trade Finance & Operations for Mashreq Bank, providing strategic and transaction-level advice to CIBG, IBG, and RBG customer segments.
• You will ensure effective positioning of Mashreq Trade in the ever-evolving regulatory, risk, and technology landscape.
• You will adhere to Regulatory Guidelines, meeting Internal and External/Central Bank's Audit Standards.
• You will create a service distinction and offer a unique proposition for customers to ensure Mashreq's leadership position in Trade Finance.
• You will strategize on medium- and long-term opportunities in process improvement, industry-leading automation of processes based on new technology developments, policy changes, and control robustness.
• You will develop and maintain multiple specialized teams of managers and Subject Matter Experts focused on catering to international trade services business for cross-functional stakeholders and internal partners.
• You will be responsible for creating and maintaining KPIs and Accuracy standards.
• You will staff mentoring, training, and building subject matter expertise in the team.
• You will create and nurture specialized teams and professionals with competency to handle complex/structured transactions in Trade, Loans, Supply Chain, OBU, Islamic Trade, and any new product/process applicable.
• You will interface with Senior Management and Business/GTB for formulating trade service standards and product offerings to global customers.
• You will collaborate with and influence all partners, including leadership.
• You will manage 200+ highly skilled Trade Finance employees in various locations across multiple geographies.
• You will ensure optimal resourcing model for Trade Ops across all MGN locations and HO to achieve strategic objectives for the Operations.
• You will embed a culture of continuous improvement, identify and deliver enhancements to customer experience, productivity, and efficiency.
• You will develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
• You will liaise with Customer, Business groups, Vendors, Support divisions, etc., and maintain good value streams.
• You will drive dialogue with all parties concerned to ensure that stakeholders get value-added services.
• You will maintain competencies and skills to have a proper succession planning for the area managed.
