The Role
  • Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
  • Design, implement and maintain Java-based/Angular applications that can be high-volume and low-latency
  • Analyze user requirements to define business objectives
  • Envisioning system features and functionality
  • Define application objectives and functionality
  • Ensure application designs conform with business goals
  • Develop and test software
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues arising
  • Create detailed design documentation
  • Propose changes to current Java infrastructure
  • Develop technical designs for application development
  • Develop multimedia applications
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging
  • Manage Java and Java EE/Angular or React application development
  • Develop documentation to help users
  • Transforming requirements into stipulations
  • Prepare and produce releases of software components
  • Support continuous improvement, investigating alternatives and technologies, and presenting for architectural review

Requirements
  • $120,000 per year, with a bonus potential of up to $20,000, for candidates with 7+ years of strong hands-on development experience in Rest Web Services, Spring, Spring Boot, Java-J2EE, and related open-source technologies. In addition, experience with RESTful services, cloud technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL, AWS, NodeJS, and React is a must. The ideal candidate should be well-versed with modern rich internet applications, have a good understanding of AJAX and JavaScript DOM manipulation techniques, and be able to integrate content feeds via API, JSON, XML, and RSS from both internal and external sources.
  • The ideal candidate should also have hands-on design & development experience on Cloud, exposure to Pivotal Cloud Foundry, experience in JavaScript build tools like grunt or gulp, familiarity with testing frameworks (Ex. Testerman, JUnit, Karate, Cucumber, Jest, Jasmine), test runner framework (Ex. Cucumber, Selenium), performance test using Dynatrace, and document application components for support and training materials for Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
