Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Cognitive Search Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge search solutions. This role will enable data-driven insights from structured and unstructured data, reports, and dashboards. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in Azure Cognitive Search and data engineering with a passion for delivering intuitive user experiences and business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect cognitive search solutions using Azure Cognitive Search and related AI services.
  • Build pipelines to ingest, index, and enrich data from diverse sources (databases, reports, dashboards, documents).
  • Enable natural language query capabilities for business users to interact with enterprise data.
  • Integrate semantic search, embeddings, and generative AI techniques for advanced insights.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define use cases in finance, operations, and reporting.
  • Partner with data lake and ADF pipeline teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Adopt agile, iterative delivery to validate and scale solutions rapidly.
  • Ensure compliance, data security, and ethical AI usage in search solutions.
  • Mentor team members on AI search and NLP best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in data engineering, with 2+ years in cognitive search/NLP solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud ecosystem, Snowflake/Synapse, and modern data platforms.
