About this role

As a Business Analyst, you will be part of a team responsible for delivering internal and client-facing applications across Life & Health Underwriting and Claims domains. These systems support automated risk assessment, case tracking, client communication, dashboard/reporting functionalities, and decision-making processes.

You will work closely with business and IT partners to capture requirements, define specifications, test solutions, and support development projects. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing and defining solutions for complex business needs, collaborating in crafting risk assessment and decision models, contributing to conceptualization and innovation of new initiatives, and acting as a bridge between business and IT to solve business challenges through technology.

The team includes business analysts, UI/UX experts, and technology partners, all bringing deep expertise in both reinsurance and IT. You will work in an agile environment, participating in ceremonies with development teams and continuously looking for ways to enhance application quality and development processes.

Requirements
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities are essential for this role. You should be able to analyze complex business needs and define solutions that meet those needs.
  • Business analysis skills: Proficiency in business analysis with a focus on usability and user-centric design is required. You should be able to craft risk assessment and decision models, contribute to conceptualization and innovation of new initiatives, and act as a bridge between business and IT.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders. You should also have strong customer focus and be able to get things done under pressure.
  • Agile software development experience: Experience working in an agile environment is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with project management methodologies is also desirable.
  • Teamwork skills: A reliable team player with interpersonal skills and flexibility is essential for this role.
