Digital Circuit Designer

Job Description

To design and develop digital circuits, the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality designs that meet customer requirements. This involves working closely with customers to understand their needs and specifications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.


Key Responsibilities
  • Designing digital circuits using VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, ensuring efficient implementation on FPGA platforms.
  • Developing system architectures and defining project schedules to meet customer expectations.
  • Providing estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Creating detailed design documents with thorough analysis reports, including module-level details and simulation results.
  • Participating in peer reviews and applying methodologies for design verification or validation.
  • Supporting customers during integration phases at test sites and providing guidance to production teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in VHDL knowledge and Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation.
  • Thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs and functional simulation techniques.
  • Strong background in hardware design, logic design, and debugging expertise.
  • Proficiency in FPGA design, including VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, system C/System Verilog, and FPGA synthesis/PAR tools.
  • Experience with implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments, particularly for radar and electronic warfare systems.
  • Working knowledge of modeling algorithms in Octave/MATLAB, generating test vectors, and visualizing data.
  • Ability to interface with ADCs and DACs, interpreting their performance, and fluency in configuration/version control tools like SVN.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
