Job Title: Legal Associate

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management & Legal Documentation:
    • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
    • Conduct legal research and prepare briefs and reports.
    • Mitigate contractual risks and optimize terms that protect the organization's interests in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance:
    • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Stay updated on legal developments, assess their impact, and provide guidance to the organization.
    • Respond to regulatory inquiries and audits in collaboration with different departments.
    • Manage and maintain statutory registers and records.
    • Organize board and committee meetings, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
    • Handle filings with regulatory authorities, including annual returns and other statutory submissions.
  • Corporate Governance:
    • Support corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and regulatory filings.
    • Maintain corporate records and documentation properly.
  • Risk Mitigation:
    • Identify potential legal and regulatory risks, assess their impact on the organization, and implement risk mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Processes and Communications:
    • Execute legal and compliance tasks efficiently and effectively in line with best practices.
    • Draft legal documents and maintain clear communication within the legal team and other departments.
    • Bridge communication between the legal team and other departments, ensuring that legal considerations are understood and incorporated into operations.
    • Document meetings related to legal and compliance issues.
  • General Support:
    • Provide general legal support to the legal and compliance team.
    • Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative efforts.
