Senior Test Automation Engineer III

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Test Automation Engineer III to lead our data quality initiatives. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring you to design and implement robust automated testing frameworks for our data infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data validation frameworks focusing on the semantic layer, schema compliance, and data contract adherence.
  • Build and automate end-to-end data pipeline validations across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers using Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation).
  • Lead test automation initiatives by developing scalable, modular test frameworks and embedding them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Validate GraphQL APIs by testing query structures and schema compliance using Postman and Python. Oversee UI and visualization testing for dashboards (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) using Selenium with Python.
  • Define and drive the overall QA strategy with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and semantic data accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7-12 years of overall experience in Test Automation, with 6+ years of strong experience in Data Ops/Testing.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation).
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for writing validation scripts.
  • A solid understanding of GraphQL APIs and experience with API testing tools like Postman.
  • Experience with UI testing using Selenium with Python.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
