Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist

 

  • Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test and maintain production-grade data pipelines utilizing big data platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Evaluate and validate new features on the Foundry platform to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Ensure quality controls and adhere to best practices in data engineering.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept development to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data engineering.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Timely delivery of data pipeline engineering activities.
  • Implementation of CI/CD DevOps principles and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Adherence to quality engineering principles to ensure high-quality delivery.

Job Dimensions:

Impact on the Organization: Responsible for developing and maintaining preclinical data pipelines and delivering high-quality proof-of-concepts that integrate with business needs.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may also be accepted.

Work Experience:

  • 6+ years IT experience, 4+ years experience in data engineering on big data platforms.
  • Ability to design and implement data integration of different data modalities.
  • Proficiency in programming languages primarily Python, PySpark, and Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps (CI/CD and agile framework).
  • Experience working with JIRA/Confluence for technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience building scalable solutions and pipelines on big data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry Platform using Code Repository, Code Workbook, Data Connection, etc.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts is valuable.
