Restaurant HR Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced HR professional to lead the Human Resources function for our restaurant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing HR strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring smooth workforce management, and driving organizational culture.

The Restaurant HR Manager is accountable for developing and implementing HR plans that support restaurant operations and expansion. This includes managing employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures, as well as overseeing recruitment of leadership, kitchen staff, and service personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and drive organizational growth.
  • Workforce Planning: Lead workforce planning for multiple outlets/locations, including recruitment, selection, and development of talent.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Oversee recruitment of leadership, kitchen staff, and service personnel, ensuring the right skills and experience are hired.
  • Employee Relations & Culture: Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Design and monitor performance management systems, ensuring employees are held accountable for their performance.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and industry-specific regulations, minimizing risk and liability.
Requirements:
  • Education: MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 8–10 years of HR management experience, preferably in restaurants, hospitality, or F&B industry.
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
