Senior Biostatistician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Biostatistician to lead our clinical research studies. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the development of statistical methods and procedures, supervise junior biostatisticians, and provide expert consultation on statistical methodology.

  • Develop and implement statistical plans for clinical research studies, ensuring high-quality data analysis and interpretation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior biostatisticians, associate biostatisticians, and SAS programmers, providing guidance on complex statistical projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop study analysis plans, statistical programs, and protocols, driving innovation and excellence in biostatistics.
  • Stay up-to-date with current statistical and medical literature, applying knowledge to ensure sound and effective methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related field, preferably with a Master's degree, or 1 year of experience with a PhD (desired but not required).
  • Strong programming skills in SAS and/or R, with expertise in state-of-the-art data manipulation and statistical methodology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
