Job Description

We are seeking an expert in wireless systems to join our team.

    nd your skills in bringing up Mist Systems firmware for new access point hardware.
  • Develop high-performance device drivers for wireless and wired networking, ensuring seamless connectivity and reliability.
  • Create system software to collect, analyze, and distribute wireless statistics, providing valuable insights for network optimization.
  • Design software to dynamically manage groups of devices, streamlining network operations and enhancing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with our hardware engineers to define new products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Work with our data analytics engineers to build smart/reactive wireless networks that adapt to changing conditions.
  • Partner with our customers and product managers to resolve issues and develop innovative features.
  • Drive customer value creation through technical solutions, demonstrating a proactive approach to meeting their needs.

Requirements:

  • Persistence, creativity, and a can-do problem-solving attitude.
  • Extensive C code experience.
  • Experience developing for the Linux kernel and OS.
  • Ability to work up and down the embedded stack: boot loader, device drivers, kernel, user space.
  • Strong knowledge of 802.11/WiFi protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of wired protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of ARM CPU architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Desired Experience with:

  • High-level systems language (e.g., Python, Go).
  • Assembly language (e.g., ARM, X86).
  • Broadcom or QCA wireless drivers.
  • 802.11ac/ax, WiFi fast roaming.
  • ARM CPU architecture.
  • Security protocols.
  • Desire to work with machine learning and data science teams.
