Job Description:

As a Vice Chancellor candidate, you will formulate and implement a world-class strategy to position the university as a leader in research, innovation, and academic excellence. Your roadmap should include setting clear goals for top national and global rankings in education and research.

• Promote Research Excellence

Establish cutting-edge research centers, attract funding from industry, government, and international bodies, and cultivate a culture of impactful, interdisciplinary research. Encourage faculty and students to publish in high-impact journals and pursue patents.

• Enhance Academic Standards

Drive curriculum innovation to align with the latest advancements in science, technology, humanities, and industry needs. Ensure rigorous academic processes, accreditations, and global benchmarking.

• Operational Leadership

Build high-performing teams by recruiting, retaining, and developing world-class faculty and researchers. Foster leadership among faculty and encourage collaborative efforts across departments.

• Student Success and Development

Provide students with opportunities for research, global exposure, and entrepreneurial initiatives. Prioritize holistic development by integrating academics, research, and industry engagement.

• Financial Stewardship and Resource Mobilization

Drive significant funding for research and academic initiatives through grants, endowments, and industry partnerships. Oversee the efficient allocation of resources to academic and research priorities.

• External Engagement and Reputation Building

Collaborate with leading universities, research institutions, and industries worldwide. Promote exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and international visibility.

Actively represent the university in national and international forums to build its reputation. Lead efforts to meet ranking parameters, including research output, employability, and global impact.

• Qualifications and Experience

Academic Excellence: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a globally recognized academic record. At least 20 years of academic experience, including senior leadership roles. Proven Research Leadership: Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale, high-impact research projects. A strong publication and citation record in reputed international journals.

• Leadership and Vision

Experience in transforming institutions through strategic planning and execution. Track record of developing and sustaining global partnerships. Fundraising Expertise: Ability to secure substantial funding from industry, government, and philanthropic sources.
