Drive innovation in manufacturing processes by developing and implementing CAM programs using NX software.
As a CAM Programmer at Tata Electronics, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and generating CAM programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the quality of CNC machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:- CAM Program Development: Develop CAM programs using NX software to define cutting tools and strategies for 3D models.
- Validation and Verification: Run tool path simulations, generate NC code, and perform virtual simulations to validate outputs.
- Process Input Validation: Validate 3D models against 2D drawings and assemble part geometry in fixtures.
- Production Support: Collaborate with process engineers to implement CAM programs on CNC machines.
- Quality Control: Analyze QC reports, implement corrective actions, and iterate as needed.
- Documentation: Create setup sheets and work instructions for CNC operators.
- Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Mechatronics, or Automobile Engineering (B.E. preferred).
- Experience: 5 years (B.E.) or 8 years (Diploma) in NX CAM.
- Skills: Knowledge of GD&T (mandatory), CNC machines (mandatory), NX CAD, cutting tools, and FANUC Controller (preferred).
This role requires collaboration with internal teams such as production, quality, and engineering, as well as external interactions with clients and suppliers.
