HVAC Design Engineer Job Overview

Are you a skilled professional with expertise in designing and implementing mechanical systems? We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join our team.

Job Description:

As a HVAC Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and other related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects. Your duties will include preparing detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications for mechanical systems using computer-assisted engineering software. You will also perform calculations and prepare technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for projects as per customer requirements and existing conditions.

You will have knowledge of building codes including NYC Building Code, International Codes, and ASHRAE Standards. You will review design concepts, calculations, drawings to ensure accuracy of design intent, Code Compliance, and customer requirements. Additionally, you will review Engineering submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration procedures during the project's construction phase.

Furthermore, you will develop training modules, calculation procedures, and company tools used in Design & Execution. You will train engineers to conform to standards and improve performances. You will also coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of projects. Finally, you will develop cost estimation and Bill of materials as per design concept.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ Years of experience in HVAC design and engineering
  • Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience working with building services and international projects
  • Team handling and communication skills
