Key Search Engineer Role

Develop highly effective search applications that deliver user-centric experiences. We seek an experienced software engineer to lead the design, development and optimization of innovative search solutions.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement and optimize advanced search functionality using modern technologies
  • Develop scalable search applications focusing on relevancy, performance and user experience
  • Create and refine search algorithms, ranking models and retrieval methods
  • Design Knowledge Graphs from various corporate data sources
  • Implement query understanding, text analysis and relevance scoring
  • Analyze existing search infrastructure and maintain application quality
  • Design and execute A/B tests for search quality improvements
  • Implement efficient indexing strategies and data preparation pipelines
  • Develop machine learning models for search ranking
  • Monitor and optimize search performance metrics

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing search solutions
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python or similar programming languages
  • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, Solr or similar search engines
  • Expertise in SQL databases and NoSQL solutions
  • Experience with text processing, NLP and relevance tuning

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of neural search techniques and vector embeddings
  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs/Graph RAG and related infrastructure
  • Familiarity with relevance evaluation metrics
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems

Technical Requirements:

  • Search Engines: Elasticsearch, Solr
  • Programming Languages: Java, Python
  • Databases: SQL, MongoDB
