Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Back End Developer to join our team and spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge back-end systems.

As a Lead Backend Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems. Your expertise in backend technologies will be pivotal in delivering high-performance and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal team performance and productivity.
  • Contribute to the design and development of robust, maintainable, and efficient software architecture.
  • Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through development and deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices, including writing comprehensive unit tests, to guarantee high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Develop reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency and consistency across projects.
  • Continuously optimize applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with data protection regulations to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes related to the products you own.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in software development, leadership or management role.
  • Strong programming foundation in Python, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience in developing web applications and APIs (REST, XML, other open sources) and good knowledge of any framework Django / Flask.
  • Significant expertise in secure software development and handling of sensitive data.
  • Well-established experience in all phases of development – requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance, of enterprise-wide application systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and experience working with Git.
  • Hands on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or any other web/app server.
  • Experience in containerization tool -Docker
  • Hands on experience in enterprise level deployment and scaling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Experience in writing reusable code and libraries to improve efficiency and consistency across multiple projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
