Backend Software Developer

A leading software development organization is looking for a skilled Backend Software Developer to join their team.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining back-end systems that support our maritime operations platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems. Your expertise in backend technologies will be crucial in delivering high-performance and scalable solutions that meet the evolving needs of the maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create scalable, maintainable, and efficient software architecture.
  • Develop and implement Test-Driven Development practices to ensure high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Become proficient in implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes related to the products you own.
  • Prioritize continuous optimization of applications for maximum performance, speed, and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Profound knowledge of Python programming language and experience in developing web applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with Django or Flask frameworks.
  • Well-established experience in requirement gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-wide application systems.
  • Proficient understanding of Git source control management system.
  • Hands-on experience with database design and architecture.
  • Experience with caching techniques using Memcache/Redis.
  • Understanding of containerization tool Docker.
  • Familiarity with Apache/Nginx/web/app server.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively solve complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
