Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development and leadership, with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.
  • Contribute to the design and development of software architecture.
  • Take ownership of the product lifecycle, from conceptualization through deployment.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development practices to ensure high-quality code.
  • Built reusable, modular code and libraries to promote efficiency across projects.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Enforce security best practices and ensure data protection regulations compliance.
  • Maintain technical documentation for all systems and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of 5+ years in software development, leadership or management.
  • Strong programming foundation in Python.
  • Experience in web application and API development.
  • Expertise in secure software development and sensitive data handling.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repository and Git.
  • Hands-on experience in DB design & Architecture with focus on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Experience working on Apache, Nginx, or other web/app servers.
  • Containerization tool experience -Docker.
  • Enterprise-level deployment and scaling experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
