Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Global Logistics Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of logistics operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments both domestically and internationally.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in logistics operations and will be responsible for:

  • Preparing pre-shipment and post-shipment export documents
  • Planning shipments as per manufacturing/production schedules
  • Issuing B/L & AWB instructions and approvals to liners/agents
  • Preparing and following up on certificates from different government bodies
  • Following up with customs clearing agents for clearance documents & B/L, AWB from liners/agents
  • Scrutinizing lab reports from quality teams
  • Following up with production teams for timely production to plan for dispatches
  • Post-shipment documentation and scrutiny and pre-alerts to customers
  • Export documentation of pet foods & human foods
  • Following up for DBK & GST returns from customs
  • Preparation of sales registers of dispatches
  • Pre-alert shipment documents to customers before sailing/departure of goods from origin
  • Following up with forwarders for freight bills and approvals
  • Payment follow-up from finance teams to make payments for all vendors/forwarders
  • Monthly MIS reports for all shipments
  • Shipment tracking - updating customer key account managers on shipment status by tracking

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with production teams for timely readiness of materials to fulfill shipments turnaround time (TAT), preparation of domestic invoices, aligning appointments to plan dispatches, creation of delivery notes, generation of E-invoices and e-way bills for dispatches, domestic tracking updates (inventory & logistics), shipment tracking updates of dispatched invoices and obtaining POD's, coordinating with customers/salespersons for timely dispatch and delivery of shipments, aligning vehicles for delivery and pickups, GRN updates for return shipments, updating materials inward GRNs, purchase order creation for Nandhi Hills facility for milk vendors, monthly MIS reports for domestic shipments, vehicle management for domestic delivery and confirmed appointments, coordination logistics partners for timely pickup of shipments and delivery, and coordination with production & quality teams for internal inventory transfers.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in logistics operations
  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including planning, execution, and monitoring of shipments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Salary

The salary for this role is approximately ₹12,00,000 per annum, depending on experience.
