Senior Financial Manager

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to oversee project-level financial management and corporate accounting responsibilities.

This senior role combines the skills of a financial analyst with those of an accountant, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations on both local and global levels.

The ideal candidate will be financially astute, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Bid and Proposal Review: Conduct thorough reviews of bids, proposals, and agreements for financial compliance and client requirements.
• ERP Management: Set up projects in ERP systems (Deltek Vision/Tally) in line with company policy and procedures.
• Contract Administration: Collect and maintain legal documentation for sub-consultants (agreements, COIs, work authorizations).
• Financial Reporting: Provide timely financial reports, forecasts, and profitability analyses, recommending corrective actions where needed.
• Revenue Recognition: Ensure revenue recognition compliance with GAAP ASC 606 and other relevant standards.
• Invoicing and Requisitions: Collaborate with Project Managers to prepare monthly invoices and requisition forms.
• Collections and Dispute Resolution: Support collections and resolve overdue accounts in coordination with leadership.
• Project Close-Out: Assist with project close-out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Corporate & Local Finance Management:

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate corporate (Deltek Vision) and local accounting records.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, expense coding, reimbursements, and cash application.
• Financial Statements: Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, management reports) and cash flow forecasts.
• Tax Compliance: Handle tax computations, filings, and local compliance requirements.
• Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset registers and financial schedules.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Audit Support: Assist auditors with year-end closing and documentation.
• Payroll Management: Manage payroll processing and employee cash advances.
• Compliance and Registrations: Maintain statutory registrations, certificates, and office compliance records.

Requirements:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional Experience: 5+ years' accounting experience in a professional services environment; AEC industry preferred.
• Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years' supervisory or management experience.
• ERP Expertise: ERP experience (Deltek Vision required; Tally experience a plus).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Standards: Familiarity with US-GAAP, IFRS, and IND-AS.
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Work Habits: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
