Key Roles and Responsibilities

The Jhagadia Float Glass manufacturing unit is a strategic investment with a state-of-the-art float glass plant spread over an area of 150 acres. The facility has a capacity to produce 550 MT of clear glass per day, setting a high-quality benchmark standard within India and globally.

The campus also features an in-house Sand Beneficiation plant with a capacity to produce 600 tons of treated sand per day. Over a decade, the site has uniquely positioned itself to attract many future investments of Saint-Gobain in India.

The people are our greatest assets. They play a crucial role in maintaining the operations and maintenance of various equipment, including 66 KV switchyards, HT & LT switchgears, SF6, transformers, motors, EOT cranes, battery & charger, UPS, PCC, MCC, plant lighting & PLC, electrohydraulic grab, and crushing equipment.

  • Equipment Maintenance:
  • Operation and maintenance of gensets, electrical panels, transformers, isolators, and lightning arrestors.
  • Maintenance of soft starters & automation systems & basic operations of PLC's and SCADA.
  • Troubleshooting of AC/DC machines, circuit theory, earthing concepts, protection, and metering devices & systems.
  • Knowledge in VFD & PLC applications.
  • Encoders & feedback sensors.
  • High Voltage, Medium Voltage, and Low Voltage Power Systems & Equipments.
  • Electrical generation and distribution system.
  • Energy calculations and efficiency improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma - Electrical Engineering from reputed Institutions
  • 3-5 years Experience in Manufacturing / Process / Engineering Industry
