Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our IT & Information Security department, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential cybersecurity risks.

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Validating proposed cybersecurity risks to ensure they meet criteria for tracking, treatment, and monitoring.
  • Identifying and elevating proposed cybersecurity risks that require more detailed analysis by Level 2 cybersecurity technical subject matter experts.
  • Recommending and implementing measures to treat risks that reduce potential impacts on information resources to a level acceptable to senior management.
  • Identifying and reporting on new and emerging security risks and risk trends.
  • Collaborating with cybersecurity business area representatives to define solutions that satisfy security objectives while meeting business needs.
  • Performing first-level analysis of app sec controls using reports from cybersecurity tools.
  • Participating in reviewing applications with security architecture and engineering teams.
  • Defining Cyber Security KPIs from GRC perspectives.
  • Reviewing changes in processes, standards, and technology to ensure the effectiveness of security controls to meet compliance requirements.

Additionally, you will:

  • Efficiently and effectively triage proposed cybersecurity risks.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts to develop patterns for risk analysis and risk treatments.
  • Provide insights to support ongoing monitoring and visibility of cybersecurity risks to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, quality, risk management, and/or audit.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical resources.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and recognize when guidance is needed.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to incorporate automation into existing processes for enhanced efficiency.

While prior certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are not required, relevant certifications are a plus. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration, information security/assurance, or an equivalent field of study is also preferred.
