Internal Audit Manager Job Description

As a seasoned internal audit professional, you will lead the audit function to ensure business operations align with organizational goals and objectives. Your primary focus will be on conducting thorough audits, analyzing data, and providing actionable recommendations to improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing comprehensive audit plans, checklists, and process flowcharts for the financial year.
  • Conducting detailed analyses and audit reviews in line with the audit plan, including preparing draft reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Executing individual/group audits defined in the audit plan, ensuring exceptional service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Effectively collaborating with teams and engaging with various stakeholders, including verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Participating in opening and closing meetings with auditees to discuss audit scopes, findings, and action plans.
  • Ensuring audit reports are clear, concise, identify root causes with practical solutions, and provide value to management.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and work papers for audit activities.
  • Regularly interacting with the Reporting Manager to report the status of Internal Audit's ongoing activities, apprise of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and/or governance requiring prompt attention.
  • Adapting to travel requirements as per the need of audit.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of auditing principles and standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
