We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Wells Fargo Bank. In this critical role, you will lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact.
As a key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area, you will work closely with senior global leaders and local reporting managers to ensure effective governance.
You will perform reviews on transitions per Transition Framework, Controls opinion/acknowledgement, Second-line engagements, and support functionally to meet the Business Continuity Management (BCM) goals and control coverage requirements.
Our ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of risk management principles and be responsible for ensuring appropriate control coverage is provided for the assigned business group.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead complex initiatives to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
- Monitor moderately complex business-specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
- Evaluate changes to laws, processes, etc., to assess impacts and develop implementation plans to close gaps
- Collaborate with relevant business groups to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
- Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
- 5+ years of experience in Risk Management or Control Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry
- Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups
