Job Opportunity: Underwriting Specialist

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Underwriting Specialist, where you will be responsible for analyzing risk factors associated with businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze risk profiles of clients and determine appropriate policies.
  • Customize policy offerings by adding or removing covers, riders, or endorsements.
  • Coordinate with underwriters at various insurance companies to obtain quotes and underwriting decisions.
  • Follow up on approvals, reinsurance support (if required), and final underwriting clearance.
  • Verify all necessary documents from clients (KYC, proposal forms, declarations, etc.).
  • Stay updated on underwriting guidelines, product circulars, and compliance requirements.
  • Explain underwriting requirements, terms, exclusions, and conditions to clients.
  • Support the sales team by providing underwriting guidance and clarifications.
  • Address client inquiries related to risk approvals or policy issuance delays.
