Project Scheduling Expertise

  • Reports to project managers and assists in creating and updating project schedules.
  • Supports budget preparation, schedule creation, and other tasks assigned by project controls managers.
  • Ensures data integrity and accuracy of schedule reporting through regular checks and audits.
  • Analyzes project trends to identify areas for improvement and successful practices.
  • Includes, assesses, and reports on changes to the baseline plan and new forecasted dates within scheduling tools.
  • Reviews impacts on schedule delivery milestones and produces recovery plans to minimize delays.
  • Timely identifies, notifies, resolves, and records deviations from the current plan.
  • Re-baselines schedules as needed and maintains work breakdown structures from original estimates.
  • Attends meetings, prepares agenda items, takes meeting minutes, and tracks follow-up actions.
  • Collaborates with project teams, construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather progress data.
  • Schedules are maintained accurately through weekly/monthly reports highlighting variances to current baselines.
  • Records project scope modifications and contributes to change order submissions.
  • Monitors and controls portfolios of projects across Canada and ensures schedule accuracy.

Key Qualifications:

  • More than five years of experience in construction scheduling.
  • University degree/diploma in engineering or business administration, or equivalent education and industry experience.
  • Expertise in using Primavera P6 is mandatory, with proficiency in Advanced Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to support project managers, construction managers, and direct field staff.
  • Certifications like PMP or EVP are a plus.
  • Excellent report-writing skills with the ability to provide timely, concise, and accurate reports.
