About the Position: We are seeking a skilled Scientific Content Specialist to contribute to our editorial process. As part of the team, you will leverage your expertise and problem-solving skills to enhance the author experience and help authors achieve their publishing goals.

  • Evaluate content as a partner to external editors, ensuring high-quality manuscripts.
  • Improve the editorial process for editors and reviewers, streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency.
  • Engage closely with authors to provide guidance and support, helping them refine their manuscripts.
  • Manage the editorial process for papers, from submission through peer review to the final decision, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist authors in increasing their chances of publication success by identifying suitable journals and providing feedback.
  • Recruit and manage external editors, upholding high standards and expectations.

Required Expertise: To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD or MD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Doctoral or post-doctoral experience in bio-informatics or surgery-related topics is highly desirable.
  • Professional-level written and spoken English communication skills.
  • An experimental, results-driven work attitude with enthusiasm and a passion for scientific excellence.
  • A record of published papers in scientific journals, demonstrating expertise and contribution to the field.
  • Familiarity with online platforms, social media, and digital content, showcasing technology-savviness.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong written and spoken English abilities.
  • Broad scientific interest and a commitment to serving the scientific community.
