We are seeking a skilled Animal Care Supervisor to oversee and manage animal care operations at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of animals, providing pet care, and performing animal work.
">The ideal candidate will have strong empathy and compassion towards animals, with experience in animal care, animal health, and pet care. They must possess laboratory skills related to animal care and have strong communication and organizational skills. A bachelor's degree in animal science or a related field is preferred.
">Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations at the shelter to ensure animal well-being and manage shelter staff.
- Supervise and train shelter staff and volunteers/interns in animal care, shelter policies, and safety procedures.
- Ensure proper feeding, grooming, and medical care for all animals.
- Maintain shelter facilities, including kennels and common areas, adhering to regular hygiene standards.
- Manage adoption processes.
- Record accurate data on animal intake, health status, and adoption outcomes.
- Engage with the community to promote shelter services, educate on animal welfare, and coordinate adoption events.
- Ensure adherence to local and state Government regulations related to animal care and shelter operations.
