Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist - Global Operations

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist to join our global operations team. As an Advanced Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing indirect tax returns and files, demonstrating an understanding of basic tax concepts, and proactively increasing tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare indirect tax returns and file (where applicable) these returns via the country-specific filing tool - applicable to GDS only.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of basic tax concepts and proactively increase tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.
  • Multitask on various projects within the tax segment and be cross-trained.
  • Propose improvement possibilities to raise effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.
  • Develop and deliver quality and timely services and work products efficiently.
  • Comply with Ernst & Young compliance procedure.

Requirements:

  • Dynamic, innovative, problem resolution focus with good communication skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Showing great interest in working with multi-country clients.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Team player driving the team towards progression.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate preferably in Commerce.
  • 0-2 years of experience, preferably in an Accounting/Tax field.
  • Demonstrate good computer knowledge - in MS Excel and a basic knowledge of other MS Office, Web-based applications.
  • BASIC knowledge about functioning/usage of ERP-systems.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • High-level knowledge and experience of local country Indirect Tax Compliance.
  • Understanding of Global Indirect Tax Compliance and the associated processes.
