Senior Automation Engineer - Deliver High-Quality Software

At our organization, we are seeking a seasoned expert in test automation to lead our efforts in delivering high-quality software.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks using Selenium with Python, driving API automation testing strategies using Python and tools like Postman/RestAssured/Requests library, and collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define and implement effective test strategies.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium with Python.
  • Drive API automation testing strategies using Python and tools like Postman/RestAssured/Requests library.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define and implement effective test strategies.
  • Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of defects and ensure quick turnaround on fixes.
  • Mentor and guide junior automation engineers within the team.
  • Adhere to QA best practices, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership in test automation and contribute to overall QA roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Python.
  2. Drive API automation testing strategies using Python libraries or tools.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective test strategies.
  4. Ensure comprehensive automation coverage across various testing scenarios.
  5. Analyze and resolve defects efficiently.
  6. Mentor junior automation engineers.
  7. Implement QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Provide technical leadership in test automation.
Requirements:
  • 7–9 years of experience in Automation Testing, with at least 3+ years in a lead/mentorship role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Python.
  • Expertise in API test automation (REST/SOAP APIs) using Python libraries or tools.
  • Solid understanding of automation frameworks (Hybrid, Data-driven, Page Object Model, BDD/TDD).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Desirable Skills:
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
