Senior Data Specialist

Purpose
We are seeking a talented Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our statistics and programming department, you will be responsible for providing expert-level programming support across a range of projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for manipulating large databases and generating reports to enable analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets.
- Candidates must have excellent SAS and SQL programming skills and the ability to implement complex logic.
- Candidates must be comfortable with creating complex analysis data sets derived from various data sources with a careful eye for outliers and errors.
Technical Requirements
- SAS is also fine, but R programming is preferred.
- We are open to any therapeutic area experience, but rare diseases expertise would be a plus.
- Real World Healthcare claims database experience is a must, with EU database experience equivalent to US Market scan/Optum being acceptable.
- OMOP-Common data model experience is highly desirable, even if it's just 1 year of experience.
- SQL querying and extraction skills are essential.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 7-8 years of SAS statistical programming experience.
- Database programming using SQL.
- Experience with advanced statistical methods such as survival and regression.
- Experience with real-world healthcare claims and EHR data such as MarketScan, Optum, and Medicare databases.
