Job Title: AI Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented expert to develop high-quality assessment items for certification courses in generative AI foundations.

About the Role
  • The SME will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team to create clear, standards-aligned assessment items that help students master key generative AI concepts and practices and succeed on the certification exam.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Subject Matter Expertise:
    1. Develop accurate, relevant, and high-quality assessment items aligned with the certification's learning objectives.
    2. Ensure assessment items reflect the appropriate Bloom's Taxonomy level and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) standards.
  2. Instructional Design:
    1. Ensure that questions, examples, and scenarios directly support the stated learning objectives.
    2. Suggest revisions to improve clarity, engagement, and instructional validity.
    3. Validate that terminology, context, and problem-solving tasks reflect authentic AI use cases and industry practices.
    4. Provide realistic workplace and industry scenarios to support applied learning and skill transfer.
  3. Collaboration and Feedback:
    1. Collaborate with instructional designers, educators, and stakeholders to ensure the course is relevant and impactful.
    2. Revise content based on feedback from the team.
    3. Work as a productive team member as part of a global, cross-functional team.
Qualifications
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts, generative AI tools, and applications.
  • Prior experience in assessment design, test development, or curriculum development.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner for diverse learners.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience using generative AI platforms and tools.
  • Experience working within the education sector or with adult/workforce training.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles, Bloom's Taxonomy, and competency-based assessments.
  • Certification in generative AI foundations or another AI/ML-related credential.
