Senior Infrastructure Technical Specialist

• Effective management of AIX servers, SANs, and storage arrays.
• Proficiency in backup, replication, HA, and recovery technologies.

Reporting Structure

As part of the Infrastructure team, this professional will report directly to the Infrastructure Head.

Team Responsibilities

The team's core responsibilities include the administration and management of all development, UAT, pre-production, production, and DR environments, as well as internal corporate IT systems.

Role Responsibilities

This position entails ensuring uptime SLAs are met every month for systems under its responsibility by managing and resolving issue logs, performing scheduled maintenance to minimize disruption, and managing third-party support contracts where necessary.

Additionally, it involves ensuring performance SLAs are met every month by monitoring system performance, capacity, and growth, suggesting and implementing performance improvements and hardware/software refreshes.

In terms of information security, this role requires adherence to existing policies and procedures, documenting for audit purposes as required by ISO27001, implementing security projects, completing risk assessments, and creating build guides for new and existing systems.

Beyond this, the successful candidate must ensure FNZ-held data is secure and backed up through regular backups and testing, participation in yearly BCP & DR tests, and documentation of resilience and backup plans for all new builds.

Experience and Skills Required

• Degree-qualified or equivalent industry certifications and experience.
• AIX operating system administration skills.
• Knowledge of automation scripting.

• Successful implementation of infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, drive change, and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
