Job Title: Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data architectures that empower better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Propose architectural solutions to migrate data from on-premise to cloud environments.
  2. Effectively strategize the migration of client data using GCP or AWS.
  3. Provide advisory and thought leadership on analytics environments leveraging Cloud-based platforms, big data technologies, and integration with existing data and analytics platforms and tools.
  4. Design and implement scalable data architectures leveraging Big Query, Hadoop, NoSQL, and emerging technologies, covering on-premise and cloud-based deployment patterns.
  5. Compose and implement data access patterns for multiple analytical and operational workloads across Cloud-based platforms.
  6. Create information solutions covering data security, data privacy, data governance, metadata management, multi-tenancy, and mixed workload management across Spark and NoSQL platforms.
  7. Deliver customer Cloud Strategies, aligned to the clients' business objectives and with a focus on Cloud Migrations ensuring global to local regulations, security, risk, and compliance.
  8. Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data modeling, including canonical data models (business logical models).
  9. Implement modern data warehouses for digital natives, ISVs, and Fintechs using technologies like Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
  10. Analyze requirements and migrate customers from systems such as Teradata, SQL Server, Redshift, etc. to Cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.
  11. Provide Consulting and Solution support to customers during their data warehouse or data lake modernization, especially in design and implementation of data-centric architectures.
  12. Proactively identify niche opportunity areas within the data framework and drive client discussions delivering presentations, demos, and proofs-of-concept to showcase capabilities and transformation solutions.
  13. Manage team and handle delivery of 3-4 projects.
Requirements:
  1. At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  2. Over 8 years of experience with building/designing data pipelines or data ingestion for both Batch/Streaming data from different sources to data warehouse/data lake.
  3. Experience leading and delivering data warehousing and analytics projects, including using cloud technologies such as EMR, Lambda, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.
  4. Experience working on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and its architecture for data solutions.
  5. Hands-on experience with related/complementary open-source software platforms and languages (e.g., Java, Apache, Python, Scala).
  6. Hands-on experience with ETL or ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, Business Objects Data Services, Hevo).
  7. Experience in working closely with Data Scientists/Analysts as well as business users to design and deliver complex data engineering solutions.
  8. Outstanding analytical and consulting skills.
  9. Ability to lead customer discussions independently.
  10. Prior experience in recruitment, training, and grooming of geeks.
  11. Great to have certifications - GCP and/or AWS, professional level.
  12. Your contributions to the community - tech blogs, stackoverflow, etc.
  13. Strong communication and presentation skills to communicate across a diverse audience with varying levels of business and technical expertise.
  14. Ability to work independently and as a team leader, establishing strategic objectives, project plans, and milestones.
