Procurement Specialist Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for researching, sourcing, negotiating, and procuring software products.

  • Research and evaluate software products and services to meet company needs and specifications.
  • Negotiate with software vendors to obtain the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions for software purchases.
  • Organize all procurement activities relating from Purchase Request to Purchase Order in ERP system.
  • Manage post-PO tasks and track renewals of all software subscriptions.
  • Evaluate and ensure that all purchased software products comply with company standards.
  • Coordinate and manage the delivery, installation, and maintenance of software products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of software licenses, subscriptions, and renewals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of software products and services.
  2. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their software needs and specifications.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and source software solutions that meet business objectives.
  4. Perform thorough analysis of software options to determine the most cost-effective solution.
  5. Negotiate contracts and agreements with software vendors to ensure compliance with company standards.
  6. Implement and enforce processes to ensure timely delivery of software products and services.
  7. Monitor and analyze software usage to identify areas for optimization.

Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in software procurement, preferably in a product company.
  • Proficiency in contract management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
