Job Overview

The role involves comprehensive project management and execution of infrastructure projects, including the management of building automation systems (BAS), mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, and central chiller plants.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design, execution, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure efficient and reliable plant and building operations.

  • Project Execution & Coordination: Manage the execution of MEP works related to HVAC, chilled water plants, utility systems, and BAS integration.
  • Technical & Design Review: Review MEP and BAS design drawings, bill of quantities (BOQ), equipment specifications, and shop drawings. Validate system architecture for BAS, HVAC, chiller plant management (CPM), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)/distributed control system (DCS), and utility monitoring systems.
  • Quality & Safety Management: Implement quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) checks for equipment installation, piping, cabling, and control systems. Enforce health, safety, and environment (HSE) practices during site execution in compliance with safety standards.
  • Operations & Handover: Conduct performance testing of chiller plants (coefficient of performance, kW/TR, load tests) and BAS dashboards. Optimize plant operation through automation, control strategies, and energy efficiency.

Mandatory Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), valves, and utility systems.
  • Hands-on experience in BAS integration (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks protocols).
  • Project execution experience in data centers, hospitals, airports, and large commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with electrical panels, programmable logic controllers (PLCs)/DCS, variable frequency drives (VFDs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), diesel generators (DG), and power monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and green building codes (LEED/IGBC).
  • Expertise in project scheduling and reporting (Primavera/MS Project).
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder coordination.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to CPM systems and optimization software.
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT)/artificial intelligence (AI)-based smart building platforms.
  • Certifications in HVAC, BAS, energy management, or project management (PMP/PRINCE2)
