About the Role

This senior actuary role involves leading and managing a team of actuaries, coordinating with other managers to ensure consistent professional services across teams, developing staffing strategies to meet business needs, and preparing valuation reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Motivate and lead a team of actuaries to provide exceptional customer service and support their transition into new roles.
  • Coordinate processes and procedures with other managers to ensure seamless delivery of professional services.
  • Develop effective staffing strategies to allocate resources efficiently and meet business objectives.
  • Prepare detailed valuation data using Excel or ProVal.
  • Analyze gain/loss results and write comprehensive commentaries.
  • Update ProVal software with changes to program assumptions and benefits.
  • Generate summary reports from ProVal data.
  • Publish full and interim valuation reports.
  • Review team activities and manage day-to-day operations.
Education and Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Mathematics with a minimum 60% mark.
  • At least five to seven passed actuarial exams will be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Able to coordinate training and instruction for new associates.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative team player with flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
