Pathology Lab Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pathology Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of blood collection from laboratory animals, monitoring anesthesia and euthanasia procedures, and planning necropsy examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute blood collection from laboratory animals.
  • Monitor anesthesia and euthanasia of laboratory animals.
  • Plan for necropsy examination.
  • Conduct necropsy examination of laboratory animals.
  • Prepare and conduct histopathological slide reading for toxicity and efficacy studies.
  • Implement and maintain quality control checks for biochemical analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to pathology area.
  • Control and supervise maintenance and operation of histopathology-related instruments.
  • Review in-house test results.
  • Participate in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects.

Additional Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensure availability of required chemicals and materials for projects.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving SOPs, Protocols, Reports, and study audits.
  • Plan and execute health monitoring of animal and employee.
  • Collect samples, analyze, and dispatch for various analyses.
  • Develop and execute calibration schedules for pathology equipment.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for pathology lab equipment.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Pathology or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in laboratory software and equipment.
