We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Expert to join our team at Surya International Enterprise Private Limited. This is a full-time role with occasional fieldwork, and the right candidate will have 2+ years of experience in water/wastewater analysis in WTP, STP, or ETP projects.

The estimated salary for this position is around ₹800,000 - ₹1,200,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and location.

About the Role

As a Water Treatment Expert, you will be responsible for monitoring, testing, and analyzing water quality parameters in WTP, STP, and ETP operations to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. You will conduct chemical analyses, maintain equipment, and prepare reports to support efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Water Quality Analysis

You will perform routine testing of water samples to assess physical, chemical, and biological parameters. Your tasks will include conducting tests for pH, TDS, COD, BOD, hardness, alkalinity, and other required metrics. You will identify deviations from acceptable quality standards and recommend corrective actions.

  • Process Optimization

You will assist in optimizing chemical dosing for treatment processes. You will monitor performance of filtration, sedimentation, and disinfection systems. Your insights will help improve operational efficiency.

  • Compliance & Documentation

You will ensure all activities adhere to environmental and regulatory standards. You will maintain accurate records of test results, calibration logs, and process reports. You will assist in preparing compliance reports for submission to regulatory authorities.

  • Laboratory & Equipment Maintenance

You will maintain lab equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality. You will order and manage inventory of chemicals and consumables. You will adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

  • Support & Training

You will collaborate with plant operators and provide technical guidance when needed. You will conduct basic training for plant staff on sampling and testing methods.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Additionally, you should have 2+ years of experience in water/wastewater analysis in WTP, STP, or ETP projects. Familiarity with ISO standards and environmental regulations is preferred.

Skills required for this position include proficiency in water and wastewater testing techniques, knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to prepare detailed reports and maintain records, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
