We are seeking a Virtual Legal Counsel to support our legal department in drafting and reviewing contracts, providing expert advice to clients, and training junior associates.

About the Role:

This is a critical role that involves engaging with clients to understand their requirements and gathering detailed briefs for drafting contracts and agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Interaction and Briefing
    • Engage with clients to gather detailed briefs for drafting contracts and agreements.
    • Provide expert advice to clients on legal provisions, risks, and best practices for contracts.
  • Drafting Supervision
    • Direct and guide junior associates in drafting various types of contracts and agreements based on client briefs.
    • Provide clear instructions and frameworks to ensure the accuracy and relevance of drafts.
  • Quality Control
    • Review and QC contracts drafted by junior associates for compliance, accuracy, and alignment with client requirements.
    • Identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Training and Development
    • Train junior associates on effective drafting techniques, legal language, and industry best practices.
    • Conduct regular workshops or mentoring sessions to improve the team's drafting skills and efficiency.
  • Process Optimization
    • Develop and refine internal workflows for drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts to improve turnaround time.
    • Ensure adherence to organizational standards and guidelines for contract drafting.
  • Legal Research
    • Conduct research on legal updates and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide added value to clients.
  • Collaboration and Reporting
    • Collaborate with the legal team and management to streamline processes and resolve complex client requirements.
    • Provide regular updates on client projects and team performance to the reporting manager.
