Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Management Analyst to join our Loan Management team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mortgage loan origination, underwriting and document review.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform critical document reviews, including property reports and title policies, to identify any title deficiencies or prior liens or tax liens that affect our lien position on property.
  • Review valuation documents, such as property appraisals and Broker Price Opinions, to ensure compliance with loan and trade level requirements.
  • Validate loan data received from different sources and ensure accuracy through document review.
  • Support Transaction Managers on trade-related functions and perform ancillary reviews and diligence reviews on loans.
  • Review lender guides against our underwriting criteria to identify gaps and assist the trading desk in decision-making.
  • Perform audits and underwriting QC reviews of originated loans to determine exceptions.
  • Work with servicers to obtain loan-level data and documents required for diligence reviews.
  • Review and analyze invoices and supporting information to ensure accurate billing for services by third-party vendors.
  • Participate in system and technology projects, assisting IT and System Administration with design, analysis, testing and implementation.
  • Support other departments with servicing-related research.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in US mortgage loan origination, underwriting and document review.
  • Knowledge of mortgage documents, including Notes, Mortgage Deeds, Title Policies, Property Appraisals, BPOs and credit reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of Residential Loan Underwriting and ability to read and understand lending guides.
  • Excellent decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Self-confidence, good judgment, sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle a high-stress, fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and be well-organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending principles and regulations, including RESPA-Regulation X and TILA-Regulation Z.
  • Excellent PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
