Factory Health Manager

A strategic role that oversees occupational health and safety in a factory setting.

  • Conduct occupational health hazard assessments to improve working conditions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements under the Factories Act and Rajasthan Factories Rules.
  • Develop and implement general and occupational health procedures and protocols aligned with ISO standards and best practices.
  • Promote referral services by partnering with local hospitals and specialists.
  • Collaborate with management to address and correct occupational health issues.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre- and periodical medical examinations of workers to ensure fitness before deployment.
  • Provide first-aid care, including emergency medical treatment.
  • Conduct statutory health check-ups and coordinate visits from certifying surgeons.
  • Maintain medicine stocks and inventories, as well as specific antidotes at the Occupational Health Centre.
  • Keep accurate medical records in accordance with the Factories Act and Rules, as well as ISO requirements.
  • Generate employee health databases, track trends, and provide necessary advice.
  • Offer health education and advisory services on occupational hazards, first aid, personal hygiene, environmental sanitation, and safety.
  • Oversee the Occupational Health Centre to manage medical emergencies.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor and control Medical Centre revenue budgets.
  • Suggest capital expenditure projects.
  • Prepare revenue budgets.

Employee Development:

  • Offer referral services with medical advice.
  • Provide occupational health and general health awareness training, including first aid training for employees.
  • Collaborate with Site EHS leads to improve leading HSE metrics, sustain, and further enhance EHS management at the site.

Qualifications:

  • MBBS degree.
  • Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) or Certificate of Training in Industrial Health recognized by state Government.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-8 years of experience managing OHC in an industrial setup.
