Senior Process Safety and HSE Engineer Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our process safety initiatives across engineering, construction, and operational phases.
">

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with process safety management principles and HSE standards. Key responsibilities include:

">
  • Leading and facilitating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA studies
  • Preparing/reviewing Safety Philosophies, Fire Risk Assessments, DSRs, Hazardous Area Classification
  • Developing QRA, FERA, ESSA, and other safety studies (with third parties if needed)
  • Reviewing P&IDs, layouts, and equipment specs from a safety design perspective
  • Supporting design reviews, management of change (MoC), and alarm rationalization
">

You will also support project teams in developing HSE plans, conducting site inspections, and ensuring adherence to international HSE standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process / Environmental / Safety Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPC/design/project environments
  • Strong knowledge of process safety management, risk assessment, and HSE regulations
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, DNV software
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/PSM, TÜV Functional Safety, or equivalent preferred
