Key Roles and Responsibilities

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Couchbase Database Administrator to join our ranks. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and managing our Couchbase clusters in both production and test environments.

Installation and Configuration
  • Install and configure Couchbase on standalone and cluster nodes
  • Set up and tune Couchbase environments for optimal performance
  • Experience with Couchbase UI and CLI is required
Bucket Management
  • Create and manage buckets for efficient data storage
  • Configure XDCR for data replication
  • Monitor and optimize bucket performance
Database Administration
  • Perform administrative tasks such as adding/removing nodes, rebalancing clusters, and failing over nodes during maintenance or outages
  • Proactively monitor cluster health and perform audits as needed
  • User account management: create users, disable users, manage roles
Upgrades and Performance Optimization
  • Perform online/offline upgrades as required
  • Improve database performance by tuning queries and optimizing data storage
  • Administer database security and access controls
Monitoring and Troubleshooting
  • Monitor server resources (memory, CPU, disk) and identify areas for optimization
  • Troubleshoot application failures by analyzing server and Couchbase logs
  • Provide support for the production environment

We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a team environment and provide 24/7 support as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
